Common questions
How much does kitchen installation cost?
Fitting labour for a medium kitchen of 10 to 15 units is typically £2,500 to £3,500 including VAT, before regional adjustment. A small kitchen costs from about £1,500 and a large kitchen with an island up to about £4,500. A mid-range kitchen supplied and fitted is roughly £18,000 to £35,000. Your price is fixed in writing after a survey visit.
How much does it cost to fit a kitchen I supply?
Labour to fit a small kitchen of five to ten units is typically £1,500 to £2,500 including VAT, a medium kitchen £2,500 to £3,500 and a large one with an island or tall larders £3,500 to £4,500. A single fitter on a day rate is usually £180 to £280 a day, or £300 to £450 for a two-person team. Stone worktops, new circuits and moved plumbing are extra, and your price is confirmed after the survey.
How much does a supply and fit kitchen cost?
A budget kitchen supplied and fitted is typically £8,000 to £18,000 including VAT, a mid-range kitchen with rigid units, quartz or solid wood worktops and integrated appliances £18,000 to £35,000, and a premium kitchen £35,000 to £75,000. The range, the worktop material, the appliances and how much the layout changes make the biggest difference. Your price is fixed in writing once the layout, specification and scope are agreed.
How long does it take to fit new worktops?
Usually a day for laminate or solid wood in a typical kitchen, cut and jointed on site. Stone takes two visits: the fabricator templates once the base units are fixed and level, then cuts the worktops, the sink and hob openings and any drainer grooves, and fits them about one to two weeks later. In the meantime the sink is usually out of use, so plan meals around that gap.
