Prices
Kitchen fitting prices
These are national guide prices for 2026, including VAT at 20%, based on published UK cost guides and our own costings. Local pages adjust them for your region, and every price is confirmed after a free survey visit.
Short answer: fitting a kitchen you have already bought typically costs £1,500 to £2,500 for a small kitchen, £2,500 to £3,500 for a medium one and £3,500 to £4,500 for a large kitchen or one with an island, including VAT. A mid-range kitchen supplied and fitted is roughly £18,000 to £35,000, and single jobs such as new worktops (from £500) or replacement doors (from £1,000) cost far less.
Fit only or supply and fit: what is the difference in price?
With fit only, you pay for the kitchen yourself and we charge for the labour to fit it, plus any trades around it: electrics, plumbing, gas connections, tiling and flooring. With supply and fit, one price covers the units, worktops, appliances, fitting and the finishing trades. Fit only suits people who have found the kitchen they want; supply and fit puts one company in charge of every part.

What is not included in the guide prices?
- The kitchen itself on fit-only jobs, and any missing or damaged parts, which are the supplier's to replace.
- Structural engineer fees beyond a single beam, and council building control or building warrant fees, which are listed separately in the quote.
- Problems found once the old kitchen is out, such as rotten floor joists, failed plaster or hidden leaks; we stop, show you and price any extra work in writing first.
- Asbestos removal, which needs a survey first and, where required, a licensed contractor.
Questions about prices
Is it cheaper to buy a kitchen and pay for fitting only?
Often, yes, especially if you find a good price on units. You pay the retailer for the kitchen and an installer for labour, typically £1,500 to £4,500 including VAT depending on size. The trade-off is that you manage the order, deliveries and any missing parts yourself, so having the room surveyed before you order is worthwhile.
Do your prices include VAT?
Yes. All guide prices on this site include VAT at 20%, the standard rate for kitchen supply and fitting. Your written quote shows the VAT clearly.
