Fitting a kitchen in Leicester
We cover all of Leicester, including the LE1 and LE19 postcode districts, and travel out to neighbouring towns across Leicestershire.
Around Leicester and the rest of Leicestershire you will find Victorian terraces, 1930s semis, post-war estate houses and new-build estates. Leicester's Victorian terraces often have a long galley behind the back room, while 1930s semis tend to have a small square kitchen with a door to the garden.
Many terraces here have a narrow back kitchen with a bathroom beyond it, so moving or opening up the kitchen can involve plumbing changes. Newer estate houses more often need a straight replacement of the original kitchen with better storage, integrated appliances and more sockets.
Postcodes covered: LE1 and LE19.

Questions about kitchen fitting in Leicester
How much does kitchen fitting cost in Leicester?
Fitting a medium kitchen you have already bought costs around £2,400 to £3,400 including VAT in Leicester, based on prices in the East Midlands. Smaller jobs such as new worktops or doors cost much less. Your price is fixed in writing after a free survey visit.
Which parts of Leicester do you work in?
All of them. Our Leicestershire coverage takes in the whole of Leicester, including the LE1 and LE19 postcode districts, as well as surrounding towns such as Humberstone. If you are unsure, send us your postcode.
Can I use my kitchen while it is being fitted?
Not for most of the job. Once the old kitchen comes out there is no sink or cooker until the new ones are connected, usually around one to two weeks for a typical refit. We tell you in advance which days the water and power will be off, so you can set up a temporary kitchen elsewhere in the house.
What if there is asbestos in my kitchen?
Homes built before 2000 may contain asbestos, for example in textured ceiling coatings, old floor tiles, some boiler cupboard boards and bitumen pads under old steel sinks. If your home is that age, an asbestos survey before strip-out is sensible. If asbestos is suspected or found, that area is left undisturbed until it has been tested and dealt with properly.
