Kitchens in homes around Shepherds Bush

You will find Victorian and Edwardian terraces, conversion flats, mansion block flats and 1930s semis throughout Greater London. Victorian terraces often have a narrow galley beside the side return, while conversion flats and mansion blocks usually fit the kitchen into a small room or along one living-room wall.

Permit parking, red routes and flats without lifts are common, so parking suspensions, stair carries and lift bookings may need arranging before delivery day. London's mains water is hard, so limescale builds quickly on taps and boiling water taps, and a scale-reducing filter is worth planning in.

Do you need approval for supply and fit kitchens in Shepherds Bush?

A supplied and fitted kitchen needs no planning permission in England, except where listed building consent applies or a new vent is cut through the outside wall of a flat. New circuits and consumer units are notifiable under Part P and certified through a competent person scheme or building control. Cooker hoods are planned to meet Approved Document F, and gas hobs are connected by Gas Safe registered engineers.

Conservation areas are widespread across London, so a new extractor vent on a front wall may need permission, and leaseholders usually need the freeholder's written consent first.

Getting the most from your supply and fit kitchens

Ask to see samples of the door, carcass and worktop materials before ordering, so you know exactly what will be delivered to Shepherds Bush.
If you are redecorating as well, judge paint colours against the door samples in your own kitchen light in Greater London, not under bright shop lighting.
Bring photos of kitchens you like to the survey; they help turn a general idea into specific door styles, colours and worktop choices.
Lead times vary by range: roughly four to six weeks for budget kitchens, six to ten for mid-range and twelve to twenty for premium.

Questions about supply and fit kitchens in Shepherds Bush

How much do supply and fit kitchens cost in Shepherds Bush?

For a budget kitchen, supplied and fitted, budget around £10,400 to £23,500 including VAT in Shepherds Bush. That reflects typical costs in London; we confirm the actual figure in writing once we have measured up.

Do you work near Shepherds Bush as well?

Yes. As well as Shepherds Bush itself, we cover the rest of Greater London and nearby towns such as Notting Hill and Bayswater. The process is the same wherever the kitchen is.

How long does a supplied kitchen take to arrive?

Roughly four to six weeks for budget ranges, six to ten weeks for mid-range and twelve to twenty weeks for premium ranges, counted from the order. Bespoke and made-to-measure kitchens typically take longer. Stone worktops are templated once the base units are fixed and fitted about one to two weeks later. We confirm the expected lead time for your chosen range before you commit to an order.

What are the payment terms for a supply and fit kitchen?

Payment terms are set out in your written quote before anything is ordered, so you know exactly what is due and at which stage. They depend on the range and the scope of work, and nothing is ordered until you have read and agreed them. If any part of the schedule is unclear, ask about it before you sign rather than after the order has been placed.

Who is responsible if a supplied part is wrong or damaged?

We are. Because we order the kitchen and take delivery, we check every item against the plan and deal with the supplier directly if anything is missing, damaged or wrong. You do not have to chase a retailer while a fitter waits on site. If a replacement affects the timetable, we tell you and re-plan the order of work around it.
